WINTERBREAK

Hi sweeties!
I spent my winter break at my bf's. His parents and sister went to his father's office's cabin somewhere, so we were all alone from Tuesday till Sunday evening. We only chilled out since he's got the mono, and can't be too active. I let myself kiss him again, since I spoke to a doctor and he said I probably had a minor case of the mono some time ago and can therefor not get it again. It was really hard to stay away from kissing him!
We made a lot of good food, or mostly I, but I told him I was gonna be a house wife so I did most of the cooking. He cooked for me one day though. We didn't get to celebrate my birthday since he laid sick in bed for the entire week, so he decided to "celebrate" it in the winter break. He made a really delicious meal with chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, potatoes au gratin, and tomatoes au gratin with a lot of cheese, just like I like it. He was also planning on doing a banana split, but he asked me earlier that day if I liked it and I said no, so I kinda spoiled it. He had been planning it for some time, and he had practiced the dish with his father two time before to get it right. He didn't tell me what he had planned, he just told me to stay away from the kitchen, and I thought he was just gonna make dinner. It was so sweet of him! And then I got a present with a super cute card. Inside was a really cute, little, black purse in leather.

All the food below was home made, by us, though not the burgers. They we're fried by us and put together, but we didn't make the burgers. They were stuffed with home made salad, with lots of yummy stuff, pineapple rings, bacon, cheese and some other stuff. So good! Then there's some home made brownies with vanilla ice cream. And then home made buns with home made glaze, toped with coconut topping. Then home made meatballs in spaghetti sauce, with pasta and home made salad. So delicious! And then, finally, on the bottom, sliced chicken breasts with pasta and home made salad. We ate a lot of good food. I was stuffed all break long.

Painting rings

Us poor people have to buy rings that aren't real silver or even stainless steel. So we tend to end up having green circles around our fingers. But there is of course an easy solution to that:

...painting them with clear nail polish.

Used up a whole freakin' bottle, but then again it lasts forever! No... But it does last a good while! I've never painted a ring twice, as far as I can remember.

Coffee à la Kristine

Coffee à la Kristine

I love experimenting with my coffee, and this time I went over board, but it tasted amazing!

One of those small bags of instant coffee,
sugar after your demand,
a bit of cinnamon,
vanilla ice,
and last but not least; chili.

Yummy!

But I advice you to take it wasy on the chili. I think I took a tad too much.

Smoothie

Wanted something sweet, so I thought I'd mix a smoothie with a lot of sugar.
Used frozen strawberries, frozen raspberries, milk, strawberry yoghurt, lots of sugar and... honey...

Yuck!
Tasted like crap!

But I ate it...

Hey, food's food!

HOT TIP: do not use yoghurt with taste! Use either natural or vanilla! And do not put honey in smoothies either!

Bleh!

Cocoa

Haven't made home-made cocoa for ages, so I decided on doing it today when I had time to sit down and relax while enjoying my cocoa.

Half a liter of milk
two table spoons of cocoa powder
three table spoons of sugar
and voilá!

Super yummy!

Cupcakes

When I arrived home from work the other day, this was what was waiting for me in the kitchen

Mum had made yummy cupcakes!

She just used a regular chocolate cake recipe, and they turned out super yummy.

Pouring rain

The weather has been really schizo' these days

Raining and chilly, and then all of a sudden the sun pops out and it gets really hot, and you're wearing lots of clothes 'cause it was cold to begin with, and then you end up dragging around tons of clothes and you don't have t-short under your sweater so you're sweating like a pig

Familiar scenario?

Made brownies last evening

Brownies and milk, the best thing in the world

Me gusta...

Made some weird raspberry porridge...

A mix between frozen yoghurt, smoothie and ice cream...

Tasted good!

Coffee and Chocolate milkshake

Never tried this before
Coffee and chocolate milkshake

Super yummy!
I love both coffee and chocolate, but I've never tried them out in a cold milkshake version. I've only had latte with cocoa.

I melted some chocolate,
mixed it with milk, vanilla ice, ice cubes, milk and coffee.
Turned out to be one of the best cold beverages I've ever tasted.

It was really sickening in large amounts, so I recommend you to only make smaller amounts, or maybe share it with others. But you should definitely try it out if you're a sweet tooth like me!

On my own

Hi sweeties.

Mummy left me again.

When she leaves, she always leaves behind this precooked food, so all I have to do is heat it, or add water and then heat it.

Don't know why.
I'm a descent cook!

The taste's descent though.

I love, love, love Latte

First you fill 3/4 of your cup with hot water

Then add one, or one and a half, teaspoon of instant coffee

Then fill the remaining 1/4 with milk

Then add sugar.

I used cane sugar, and about a tablespoon of it.
The amount depends, if you're eating something sweet or salty.

You can top it of with some cocoa or cinnamon.

Treasure hunt DIY

Hi cuties. I was roaming around in my attic yesterday, and I found two bags of my old clothes. In them I found a whole lot of clothes that actually wasn't that bad looking, but they all had the wrong length or shape. So I thought; "Hey. I'll just fix them!" And so I did. Here's what some of the results looked like

Really liked this one. I was actually looking for a black band tee to wear with some burgundy pants when autumn and winter arrives

Looks crooked, but it isn't

Loved the colour on this one, but it was a bit too long. Not anymore

Really wrinkly, but cute! Still have to sew the edges on this one. It will go really well with some high waist jeans

I found some other things too, mostly a lot of heavy knitted garments.

Found any treasures hidden in your attic or cellar?
